RCW Construction was founded in 1983 as a young, knowledgeable, and efficient company. From the early days of our company, our focus has been in the area of structural concrete. After a few years of focusing on concrete, company founder Joseph Ramirez became a licensed general engineering contractor and began to specialize in hillside construction. We take pride in knowing that we can take a complex situation, and with the knowledge and experience we posse, be able to do the job well, safely, and efficiently.

A few of our main specialties focus in the building and repair of new and existing foundations where limited access is a factor, erecting of steel cages, structural steel structures by hand, limited access drilling, and hand excavations or grading.  If work is necessary on an existing foundation and access is limited, a limited access rig will be brought in through a opening of 50 inches or more or lifted over the house with a crane, that can drill to depths of 50 feet with a 24 to  40 inch diameter. With plentiful space, loadrills, truck mounted rigs, and other large heavy equipment  will be brought in to complete the required work. When a site is located on a hillside, the proper precautions will be taken such as  the building of a temporary ramp in order to not disturb the hillside or adjacent structures. If the building is occupied during the course of our work additional steps are taken to minimize the impact to the tenants. We have three competent persons certified by CAL OSHA  in our staff and carry an annual permit for hand excavation to depths of  twenty feet  and if additional depth is required, we have an engineer that can design the needed shoring for deeper excavation. Safety for our staff and clients is of the utmost importance as is the high quality of our work.
